Milwaukee South Side Baseball Club
The Milwaukee South Side Baseball Club is proud of our players. Each player has earned a spot on the team through hard work, dedication and self motivation.
Our club does not just care about the game, we care about the kids involved. We encourage our players to try their best, to be team players, to put their education in high regard and to remember never to give up.
A game may be over, a season may end, but the values our kids leave with will last a life time.
- Fact- Denton True Young made his major league debut in 1890 after being traded for a suit of clothing.
- Fact- Eddie Gaedel of the St. Louis Browns was the shortest player ever in MLB history at 3 feet 7 inches tall and weighing 65 pounds
- Fact- Babe Ruth put a cabbage leaf under his hat during every game. He would change it for a new one every 2 innings.
Nobody ever said, "Work ball!" They say, "Play ball!" To me, that means having fun.
